Stephen Clarke – Chairman
Stephen has been Chairman of Hurst Green Plastics since it’s inception in 1979. He has brought together a remarkable team of product engineers, designers and logistics experts to help manufacturers improve productivity. When not travelling the world meeting with clients he is the proud father to four gorgeous daughters and enjoys calmness doing 10k runs, tennis and squash.
Martine Dunand-Clarke – HR Director
Martine has been involved with the company for 40 years in many different roles. She is responsible for HR and overseeing the general running of the business and is also co-director and married to Stephen. Martine enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, yoga, running and walking.
Julie Monaco – Accounts Director
Julie has been with us for many years and is responsible for overseeing the marketing and sales function of the company as well as supervising the day-to-day business operations. She works closely with customers, suppliers and accounts ensuring everything runs smoothly. She enjoys music, Formula 1, playing squash and running and also enjoys travelling. Connect on LinkedIn
Tommy Sharples – Managing Director
Tommy joined Hurst Green Plastics after gaining a Sports degree from Durham University. He works closely with customers and is involved with marketing, installation and after care. He has worked on new product development, sales and TwinBin implementations all over the world and is currently studying for a Masters in Engineering at the University of Central Lancashire (Uclan). He enjoys playing football, cycling, cooking, travel and film, and at weekends, helps with his daughter’s football team. Connect on LinkedIn
Peter Dowdy – Business Development Manger
Peter has over 40 years experience in sales, marketing, product development and production in the UK, the Middle East and Asia. He is looking forward to the future challenges of building on current clients and establishing new ones in the UK, throughout Europe and around the world. He is always here to provide support whatever your needs. Hobbies include playing golf and following Northampton Rugby Union (The Saints). Connect on Linkedin
Fraser Peake – Business Administrator
Fraser works alongside the design and admin team offering support through his knowledge and many years experience in Kanban solutions. He coordinates and plans exhibitions especially for the Farnborough Airshow and follows this up with site visits for clients. His interests include travelling, Formula 1 and movies. Lauren Cheetham – Order Processor
Lauren’s responsibilities are to liaise with suppliers and customers to process all orders and to ensure that deliveries are completed in full and on time. Lauren is the newest member of the team and is looking forward to building a great working relationship with our customers. She is currently studying for her Masters in World Heritage through Birmingham University. She is interested in history, reading, live music and sports. Connect on Linkedin
John Whipp – Product Design Engineer
John has over 40 years experience in tool making design and has worked with us to develop a range of products from our catering range to the TwinBin systems. He is head of our design and engineering team and is instrumental in ensuring our TwinBin products meet our high standards of manufacturing and robustness in workplace use.
John Dickinson – Warehouse & Logistics Manager
With over 30 years experience in warehousing, distribution, transport and logistics, John manages all our exports and deliveries to all over the world.
Andrew Bateson – Fabrication Manager
Andrew has over 20 years of experience in plastics and fabrication. With a wealth of experience in many different industries, he is always looking to build a close relationship with customers, solve their problems and fulfil their needs. For Andrew it’s important to match the application with the material using suitable construction techniques. Family is a major part of Andrew’s life, as is watching football. He has an active involvement in motorsport and is a school governor.
Mark Schofield – Product Engineer
Mark’s background has always been in problem solving. He has over 20 years experience in areas as diverse as the retail management sector, working on space analysis and Epos systems, followed by working in manufacturing using Lean production principles. He is now working with us to develop new products and solutions. Mark enjoys watching football and has a keen interest in motorsport and fell walking.
