Hurst Green Plastics, the Ribble Valley-based inventory management systems experts, have been recognised for their superior performance by the North of England Excellence Awards.
Established in 1995, the awards recognise organisations that achieve and maintain superior levels of performance. Applicants come from industry, commerce, education, public utilities, local government, education and the voluntary sector from across the North of England.
Since 1999, when Hurst Green Plastics developed its innovative TwinBin kanban dispensing system, demand for the two bin system has grown and it is now in operation in over 100 businesses across the globe, including the likes of Airbus, BAE Systems, Alstom and the NHS.
The award for Hurst Green Plastics comes on the tails of this year’s earlier ‘Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation’ win for the company.
On receiving the award, Managing Director, Stephen Clarke, commented: “We are all absolutely delighted to have received another honour this year, especially for our achievements towards excellence. With the earlier Queens Award and this latest recognition, we are delighted that our work and systems are attracting such major plaudits.”
